What Business Partnering Models has BeefLedger implemented?

In order to help boost adoption of BeefLedger’s groundbreaking blockchain technology across other markets that also have a genuine requirement for addressing supply chain and authenticity issues, the team have developed three main avenues by which partners can participate and help grow the ecosystem, these being;

1.Joint Ventures

This model specifically relates to the need for a targeted and dedicated approach within a specific market via the support of a joint-venture partner who will lead the project in that market.

An example of this is the launch of BeefLedger SA in partnership with DataLedger (PTY) Ltd which aims to commercialise core technological capabilities in the meat and other supply chains across the African continent.

2. Strategic Alliances

Strategic Alliances are formed with partners who have an interest in BeefLedger’s technology and would like to conduct trials in their specific markets so as to explore the possibility for a more formal agreement / collaboration in the future. These are primarily executed via “Memorandums of Understanding”.

Several of these have been established to date, namely;

  • Foodzation in Japan which will be aimed at working collaboratively to grow the Japanese market for blockchain-credentialed Australian beef, with a focus on Australian wagyu.

  • Liberty Post in China which will enable social e-commerce, blockchain credentialing and dependable supply chains.

  • LinkeyChain in China which will aim for alignment with national food safety and cross border trade regulation priorities in China, as well as working towards a version 1.0 common standard for the digital validation of cross-border movement of beef into China, in a move that aligns totally with China’s Healthy China 2030 Strategy.

3. Distribution Franchises

This model sees locals empowered to be Distribution BeefLegends. Local partners are both last mile pick-and-pack service providers, supporting B2C and B2B sales achieved, as well as being sellers to the public in their own right.

In China, we have three micro-distribution partnerships:

  • Our very first being the micro-distribution partnership in Wuhu China. Wuhu is a city of 3.6m in the Yangtze River Delta, about 400km inland from Shanghai. Its growing population provides a market in its own right, and it is also strategically located to support regional distribution.

  • We've also established a partnership with Australasian Foods in Guangzhou, which focuses on B2B and B2C distribution in the Greater Bay region.

  • Shenzhen distribution partnership has been established to supply wholesale consumer-ready product suitable for B2C delivery. Our partner there has 30+ years retail experience with an established infrastructure of 60 sellers.

With this model, BeefLedger has in effect introduced a layer of physical decentralisation to complement our decentralised data ledger.

Our approach aligns local empowerment wherever possible in the supply chain with a steadfast commitment to mitigating product counterfeiting risk.

Micro distribution partners have staked their reputations and, in effect, have “skin the game”.
